Hello LA Surveyors, As a community, we’ve always been incredible at showing up for one another—and now, we have a chance to do just that in a truly meaningful way. One of our own, Ryan—a 34-year-old SoCal native and hardworking Surveyor with Local 12—is currently facing the fight of his life. Ryan works for one of California’s top surveying firms in Irvine and has been diligently working toward his professional license, with dreams of becoming a Chief one day. But above all, he’s a devoted father to his 7-year-old daughter, Avery .Just a few weeks ago, Ryan began experiencing severe migraines, which he initially attributed to long days in the sun. But on Friday, August 29, the pain became unbearable. He went to the ER at Mission Hospital, where doctors discovered a lime-sized tumor in the front of his brain. Let’s show the Surveying community takes care of its own and support this young man. Please see the GoFundMe link to donate and send Ryan heartfelt support: https://www.gofundme.com/f/4hta3-ryan-at-34-fight-against-a-rare-brain-tumor ![]() ![]() |
