New Look for Parallax!!
January 1
We have been concerned about how well the Central Coast Chapter’s website serves the members and local surveying community for some time.
The site is set up as a blog, where the posts are shown in chronological order down the page. When we created this site that seemed like a great way to present information to the surveying community. What we have found is we generally get mulitple post at the beginning of the month, so if we have a long posts, some new fresh post do not get many views because it is so far down the page.
This format does not work the best for how we use our website. We are more of a news type website than a blog type. We believe it would be better to have a site that has a short excerpt of a post and then a link to read the full post. This allows many more of the posts to be seen quickly.
We are hoping this format will enhance the website and make it more of a hub for the chapter.
