When we created this site that seemed like a great way to present information to the surveying community. What we have found is we generally get mulitple post at the beginning of the month, so if we have a long posts, some new fresh post do not get many views because it is so far down the page.

This format does not work the best for how we use our website. We are more of a news type website than a blog type. We believe it would be better to have a site that has a short excerpt of a post and then a link to read the full post. This allows many more of the posts to be seen quickly.

We are hoping this format will enhance the website and make it more of a hub for the chapter.

Also – Looking for a Website Editor:

Takes about 4 to 8 hours a month

Excluding articles written by the editor

Need to know or want to learn WordPress Web content management system

Primarily use site editor for managing the website

Work with blocks

Understand the administrative site also

If interested contact Chapter President, if you have questions about the site contact Tom Mastin @ tbmastin@gmail.com

We have been concerned about how well the Central Coast Chapter’s website serves the members and local surveying community for some time.
